Solda lies in the middle of the national park Stelvio and is one of the oldest holiday resorts of the Alps. As now 200 years ago the first hotels were buildet in the valley all tourist activity where limited on the summer months.

The seclusion of the valley, the preferential height situation of 1900 m and 300th of Sundays of the Alpine south side was predefined to become attractive also for the winter sportsman.

A lot has changed since then but till today the small place at feet of the majestic mountains has lost nothing of his charm. South Tyrolean atmosphere and Italian joy of life have stamped the people here and the small places.
